Twenty-six year old Sarah Vanell has spent the last eight years becoming a part of the Phoenix music scene. Armed with her piano, guitar, and and natural talent, she has truly come into her own with her unique songwriting and style of expression. In 2005, Sarah entered the world of music with the soft-spoken and angelic debut album, Icarus. The soon to follow sophomore album, Fickle, would validate Sarah as a true songwriter in 2007, and as television producer Lee Hill describes, "...every note is deliberate, crystal clear. Her lyrics are thoughtful and her vocal range, playful. It's a magnificent combination." Last year Sarah released her latest effort, Emotional Discharge, and as Otto D'Agnolo (platinum award winning producer/engineer) describes, "Lyrically, melodically and in most other ways Sarah Vanell is all but Emotionally Discharged! This young talented singer/songwriter is just getting started on what is sure to be an amazing career filled with hit songs."
Vanell is currently writing for her next album set to release in Fall of 2010.
When Sarah is not writing, you can hear her perform around the valley for various restaurants, benefits, art fairs and festivals, private events and weddings.

What People are Saying:
"Sarah is the one the most talented singer/songwriters I’ve come across in years!" -Platinum award winning producer/engineer Otto D'Agnolo"We hired Sarah to perform at one of the events at the 2009 State Bar Convention and she was fabulous! The guests at the event were so impressed with how talented she was. With all of the talent available in the Valley, we are hiring her again for the 2010 Convention. I would highly recommend her!" -Karolyn Kiburz, CMP Convention Coordinator
"Sarah Vanell's performance is outstanding and nothing I have ever encountered before. Her voice gracefully pierces through her audience, capturing everyone's attention!" -Lara Gladstone, Promotions and Booking at Club Red in Tempe
"I have watched listeners being drawn in by Sarah. Her music is from her soul and audiences experience that same passion when she performs." -Bob Kyler (Project Manager, Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts)
"I listened to less than two bars on Sarah’s ’Fickle’ CD and had to have her on the show. Every note is deliberate, crystal clear. Her lyrics are thoughtful and her vocal range, playful. It's a magnificent combination. We prerecorded a song and some teases before the show and the entire crew was mesmerized while she performed, both in the studio and the control room. I've never seen anything like it before. I've been listening to "Fickle" and "Icarus" ever since, one set for the house and one for the car." -Lee Hill (Television Writer/Producer)
“Sarah is an incredibly talented and versatile musician. The commitment and passion she has for music is easily heard in every chord she plays and verse she sings. I have booked her repeatedly for events and she has always exceeded expectations with her ability to play virtually any covers or offer a taste of her own lyrical magic. She has been a pleasure to work with and a great success at all our events.” -Luke Kircher, Meeting and Event Planner
"Sarah Vanell is an up and coming star to keep an eye on." -Tara Kissane (Director of the Arts, Higley, AZ)
